Marvel Rivals Ranks Explained: Tiers, Points and One Above All (2026)
How Marvel Rivals ranks work in 2026: all 9 tiers from Bronze to One Above All, how the points system and Chrono Shield work, and how to climb the ranked ladder.

How Marvel Rivals Ranks Work (2026)
Marvel Rivals ranked runs on a points ladder across 9 tiers, from Bronze all the way to One Above All. Your rank moves with wins, losses, and your individual performance, and a few systems like Chrono Shield and seasonal resets shape the climb. This guide breaks down every tier, how points work, and how to push higher.
Marvel Rivals Rank Order
The ladder runs Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Grandmaster, Celestial, Eternity, and One Above All. Bronze through Celestial each split into 3 divisions (III is the lowest, I the highest). Eternity and One Above All are points-based apex tiers with no divisions, where you are ranked purely by score.
| Tier | Divisions |
|---|---|
| Bronze | 3 divisions (III to I) |
| Silver | 3 divisions (III to I) |
| Gold | 3 divisions (III to I) |
| Platinum | 3 divisions (III to I) |
| Diamond | 3 divisions (III to I) |
| Grandmaster | 3 divisions (III to I) |
| Celestial | 3 divisions (III to I) |
| Eternity | Points-based apex, no divisions |
| One Above All | Top of the leaderboard |
How the Points System Works
Every ranked match adds or subtracts points based on the result, and the amount is adjusted by your individual performance, so carrying a game softens a loss and pads a win. Fill the points in your current division and you promote to the next one. Drop to zero and a loss can demote you, which is why consistency matters more than any single highlight game.
Chrono Shield: Loss Protection
Chrono Shield is a safety net that charges as you play. When it is active, a defeat consumes the shield instead of costing you points or a division. It will not carry you on its own, but it does cushion a rough patch and keeps one bad night from undoing a week of progress.
Eternity and One Above All
Above Celestial, the climb becomes a pure points race. Eternity is the first apex tier with no divisions, and One Above All sits at the very top, reserved for the highest-scoring players on the leaderboard. Staying there is as hard as reaching it, since the cutoff moves with everyone else chasing the same spots.
Hero Bans in the Upper Tiers
As you climb into the higher ranks, the competitive draft adds a hero ban phase. That makes team composition, counter-picks, and a flexible hero pool far more important than in the lower tiers, where raw mechanics carry most games.
Where Players Sit and How to Climb
Most players cluster in the Bronze to Platinum range, and the field thins out fast through Diamond and the apex tiers.
