Wild Rift Ranks Explained: Ranked Marks, Tiers and Distribution (2026)

How Wild Rift Ranks Work (Patch 7.1, 2026)
Wild Rift does not use LP. It runs on Ranked Marks across an 11-tier ladder from Iron to Sovereign. This guide covers every tier, how marks, promotions, and Loss Shields work, and where players actually sit on the ladder.
Wild Rift Rank Order (Lowest to Highest)
The ladder runs Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Emerald, Diamond, Master, Grandmaster, Challenger, and Sovereign. Iron through Diamond each have 4 divisions (IV is the lowest, I the highest). Master and Grandmaster have 3 divisions. Challenger and Sovereign are flat leaderboard tiers, and Sovereign was added to fight rank inflation at the very top.
The Ranked Marks System
You gain 1 mark per win and lose 1 per loss, with one key exception: a defeat in Iron and Bronze costs no mark. Hit the marks needed for your division and you promote automatically, with no promo series. Miss a mark while sitting on zero and you drop a division. The marks required per division scale up as you climb, from 2 in Iron to 6 in Diamond.

Master and above is apex territory, a cumulative-marks leaderboard race where staying is as hard as arriving. You enter the apex at Master, then push your mark total upward toward Grandmaster, Challenger, and finally Sovereign at the top.
Ranked Fortitude and Loss Shields
Win and play clean, team-oriented games to fill your Ranked Fortitude bar. Cap it and your next defeat costs no Ranked Mark, that is a Loss Shield. Weekly fortitude caps scale from 200 at Iron up to 1,200 at Diamond and above, resetting every Monday.
Where Do Players Sit?
The average Wild Rift player sits in Silver and Gold. Platinum to Emerald is the first real wall for most of the playerbase, and Emerald to Diamond feels like a different game thanks to the draft pick and ban layer and noticeably better team communication.
